Once a member of the Council Oaks, a grove of 14 trees, the Treaty Oak is the lone survivor. The symbolic “Tree-God” has seen dusty droughts and whistling winds for over five centuries. Native Americans regarded the tree as sacred. They met under its stretching branches to discuss war and peace as well as practice religious ceremonies. According to legend, maidens brewed a tea of the trees acorns and wild honey to ensure safe return from the battlefield. It is also believed, Stephen F. Austin signed the first Texas boundary treaty under the tree’s shade.
Treaty Oak is orange tea infused with the perfect amount of wild honey. Evoking strength and endurance, this sacred blend of nature's nectars is magical.
