A crack shot, Bell Star rode sidesaddle while dressed in black velvet riding habit, plumed hat and pistols around her waist. Although well educated, Starr made a lucrative living as an outlaw. When Belle was unable to buy off the lawmen, she was known to seduce them into looking the other way. In 1880 she married Samuel Starr and became a member of the infamous Starr clan. Newspapers quoted Belle as saying, “I am a friend to any brave and gallant outlaw.” Belle was shot to death from behind in 1889, two days before her 41st birthday. No one was ever convicted of the unsolved murder.
Belle Starr entwines the sophisticated, sweet aroma of green tea with the woodsy scent of fresh cut pinion pine. Earth, yet feminine. Rugged, but still gentle. Caution, it is hard to resist the temptation of its seductive allure.
